About Us
Koru Kamikaze Sevens are an elite Sevens invitational rugby team based in London England. They regularly fight it out on the UK sevens circuit as well as competing in tournaments abroad such as the Brussels 10s, the Amsterdam sevens and the Las Vegas invitational.
Over the last two seasons Koru Kamikaze has become one of the leading teams on the summer circuit winning a total of 11 tournaments over the last two years leading us to be featured on sky sports Rugby Club and receive UR7s open team of the year award.
This year Kamikaze have created a feeder academy side called ‘upnunder sevens’ largely funded by upnunder.com. This team will act as a feeder side for the main kamikaze team allowing up and coming players to be seen and selected for Kamikaze. Upnunder sevens will play in the medium and smaller UK sevens tournaments such as Winchester, sunshine sevens and Abingdon sevens. This gives a sponsor double the sponsorship opportunities as it will allow the sponsor opportunities on both kits and exposure to double the amount of tournaments and sevens festivals.
Kamikazes aim is to become one of the most Identifiable, sustainable and successful teams in the English summer circuit. We want you to be a part of that!
Kamikaze Coaching Staff.
The team is coached by New Zealander Stefan Smith who made his name coaching Auckland’s premier rugby club and All black factory Ponsonby and is joined by fellow Kiwi and founder Jeremy Walmsley.
Kamikaze also have club secretary Alex Foster who will be handling the majority of Kamikaze affairs.
